Telangana CM K Chandrashekar Rao says he is extending his unconditional support to JD (S) in the elections. He is ready to campaign in Karnataka on behalf of the party.
Thanking the Janata Dal (S) for extending its support to his proposed Federal Front, Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao on Friday appealed all Telugu speaking people in Karnataka to vote for the JD (S) party in the ensuing Assembly elections to be held in May.
The Chief Minister called on the Janata Dal leader and former Prime Minister HD Deve Gowda at the latter’s residence in Bengaluru and discussed the political developments taking place in the country and the need to create an alternative to BJP and Congress at the national level.
The Chief Minister explained Deve Gowda the importance of delegation of more powers to the States for development and the Centre’s dominance on the State government in taking decisions regarding the reservations to local communities. Sources said the JD (S) leader also toed the TRS Chief’s line on the plights of the State governments.
Speaking to media persons after the meeting, K Chandrashekar Rao said he is extending his unconditional support to JD (S) in the elections. He was also ready to campaign in Karnataka on behalf of the party. The Chief Minister urged Telugu people to back the Janata Dal in the hustings.
Referring to water disputes between Karnataka and Tamil Nadu,he said wondered the Cauvery dispute between two States has been pending for decades. India was bestowed with 70,000 TMC of water and 40 crore acres of cultivable land. Only 25-30 crore acres was sown for the first crop of the year. Only 5-6 lakh crore was irrigated in the second crop. #KhabarLive
